Annual Charity Pub-Crawl and Carol Singing

Each year, we carol sing around Forest Gate’s pubs to raise money for a local charity, the Disability and Development Partners (DDP). This year, our carolling pub crawl will be 19th December, 2014, starting at the Forest Tavern at 7pm, moving onto the Holly Tree, and finishing up at the Golden Fleece. It’s always great fun, and a brilliant way to get everyone feeling the festive spirit. If you would like to sing with us, see the About Us page for information about how to join Forest Voices.

Choir: the best exercise

Singing is good for you! If you don’t believe us, then watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEJO6bO-Cqk

Come and reap the health benefits, and join us on Thursday. We’ve been rocking Madonna, getting to grips with Blur, and falling in love with our bicycles. There’s talk of an informal performance as part of Chorus, a fabulous festival of choirs and singing at the Southbank Centre (dates and info to follow) and it won’t be long before we start gearing up for our annual charity carolling pub crawl. With the nights drawing in, it’s a great time to get into singing. It’s not only good for your lungs, it’s great for the soul!
